Don't work hard, work smart

Sure, we all want to do that. But how many of us actually do? You see it around you every day- people struggling to make ends meet by working harder at what they have always done. As if merely spending more time or effort on the same old pattern is ever going to get them ahead of the pack. Working smart means being open to new ideas and new ways of doing things. It means looking for opportunities and grabbing them when they come by.

There's more to it though. People who aren't satisfied with the daily grind and who see how others have run a better race, these people don't just wait for circumstances to throw them a chance. They actively seek out opportunities. These are the ones who seek out the education, read the posts and materials. They are hunting. Hunting for the success they know is out there.

On the Power of Systems

People fail, systems don't. You've probably run across this bit of wisdom, but what does it mean? Well, look no further than your local McDonalds to see it in action.

McDonalds paid big money to find out the precise, most efficient and most profitable way to run their stores. The cash registers have pictures of food products on them instead of numbers for a reason. The picture system eliminates some cashier error. And that's the root idea. Put a system in place that removes the human element.

Why Are These Ideas For Sale?

One of the most common questions people want to know when deciding to get involved is, "Why are you selling these ideas at all? Why not just keep them for yourself?"

I think we humans are just a skeptical bunch. But here's the answer- really several answers that all add up together.

Making money isn't an end in itself. Once you have enough money to live the life you desire (and maybe a bit more for insurance), just making the big dollar isn't enough. When you have a good idea and it works, you want to share it. You get a bit proud of your work. And you want to see the same techniques used by others to change their lives for the better. Unlike the constant infighting and the rough and tumble competition you find in some business contexts, network marketing and the (as well as other systems) rely on people helping people to work. You don't have to recruit your friends, but you will make friends as you meet other people who share your dreams.

Join The Global Mentors Team, and use our knowledge and expertise on what works and what doesn't.

Getting Out of the Rut

If you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth, then you've probably spent some time in the working world- the world where you sell your time for money, either hourly or salaried. It amounts to the same thing- drudgery.

So why do we stay in the same old harness with the same old habits? It's fear. And it's built into us. We value the 'what we have' more than the 'what we could have'. It's natural to resist opportunity when it knocks. We hear the knock; we are just too scared to answer the door.

Marketing Magic

How can you align your Sales & Marketing for dynamic growth?

As a small business owner, it isn't as difficult to get the sales and marketing departments together…at least not as difficult as it would be if you were in a huge corporation. Because you are a small , you can make these departments work together more effectively, if you know how to.

Attraction Marketing- what it is and why it works.

We so love new jargon in . Whenever a new trend appears, we invent a clever phrase; a bit of jargon we can drop into conversations to show we are 'in the loop'. Attraction marketing is the new phrase for an old idea that has re-emerged as a hot new strategy for online selling.

In the last section we talked alot about forming our thoughts and using punctuation in our copy. In this last section we are going to tie things together, wrap it all up and send you on your way to bigger and better copy!

How do you grab your attention in every paragraph? Use connecting words at the beginning.

Communicating your point is a very important part of writing each paragraph, but, it should also make you a sale. It should “sell” the prospect on the idea of reading the next paragraph.

In Part IV we discussed Powerful words and making our content easily readable. In this next section, we are going to cover the structure of our copy.

If you have taken classes in Creative Writing or online or offline, you may have been instructed to use short words, as though an eighth-grader was reading. You may also have been told that your average word length should be no longer than five letters for each word…did they also instruct you to divide the number of letters in the paragraph by the number of words in each paragraph to make sure that the average word is no more than five letters long. This is crazy!

Dot com, Dot gov, Dot net, Dot org, Dot edu, Dot mil, Dot tv = Possible Fraud

Many people use the phrase "The Internet has spawned…" and add whatever their message happens to be. Well, maybe the internet spawned problems or solutions, but in reality, who "spawned"?

Well, in this case, who spawned all the fraudulant activities online? The Internet? The Computer? Or, a more likely culprit…con artists. Whether online or offline, a con artist is still a con artist. They are going to try and get you no matter if it is coming or going…online or offline.

In Part II we found new ways to really get to the heart and mind of the reader, here we begin the next section in the series…

Never fear an occasional obvious overstatement. Even in everyday speech we overstate the obvious…and sometimes less obvious.

Now, I’m not suggesting that you exaggerate what your product does, but, often using an obvious overstatement or over-the-top phrase allows you to demonstrate how intensely you feel about a particular point. It also brings the reader in, or them to the information.

One way to really grab their attention is to write something like…

In the first part of this series we talked about being somebody, about addressing your prospect directly, and about being personal when writing your content. Here is the next section in Discover Ways to Create

Be personal when you are writing. Close your eyes and imagine yourself talking to a friend. How would you begin the conversation? What would you say? What would your friend say? What would you say back to your friend? Obviously, you wouldn't want to refer to yourself in the plural, rather you want to speak as though you are engaged in the conversation.

Instead of saying, Here at such and such we believe in helping all….say something like, Here, let me help you…
